Precor's farewell to inertia
Showcased at FIBO recently was Precor's newly refined C130i teambike.
The bike features a new contoured flywheel which the company says is designed to spread its total 26kg weight towards the wheel's centre, aimed at providing a more resistant and consistently 'real' cycling experience workout.
Delivered in stone grey and titanium silver, its steel frame has a special rust-resistant finish and the handlebars are covered with a non-slip, non-perspiration absorbent material.
The bike has a micro-adjustable resistance control and the whole machine is built to withstand continual vigorous workouts from users of all sizes and fitness levels.
Precor claims that the secret of the C130i's durability is a heavy-duty custom-built bottom bracket which houses all the major components and which drives power through to the flywheel.
The bike has already attracted a lot of attention since it appeared in in prototype form at IFEMA in Madrid earlier this year.
