Pressalit creates the PLUS track system accessible bathroom design
Pressalit Care, designer and manufacturer of bathroom solutions throughout Europe for people with disabilities, has created the PLUS track system accessible bathroom design.
Pressalit Care’s track system is designed to offer easy horizontal and vertical adjustment, simple cleaning and flexibility.
It has soft, rounded edges, a choice of colours and features a wall-mounted track for movement of individual bathroom elements, such as wash basin and shower seat.
The horizontal track makes it possible to move these elements along the wall, creating space for wheelchair access, while the vertical track enables simple height adjustment with a lever lock.
Several elements can be fitted safely onto the track, such as basin, shower seat, toilet and arm supports. Other elements in the system include grab rails, toilet seats, back rests, curtain rails and folding seats.
Elements were designed with user comfort in mind, and include a shallow ergonomic wash basin to give seated users leg-room, shaped support arms provide security and facilitate transferring to and from wheelchairs. The support arms can be folded up against the wall when not in use.
Colours it is available in include lime green, orange, purple, white, anthracite, red and dark blue.
