Pub du vin launches in Brighton
Owner of the Hotel du Vin chain has opened its flagship site for its new pub concept, Pub du Vin, in Brighton.
Property investment group Marylebone Warwick Balfour (MWB), which also owns boutique Malmaison hotels, has launched the pub adjacent to its existing 37-bedroom Brighton Hotel du Vin on the site of the former Sussex Arts Club. The club was acquired for £2.2m in October 2007 and, now renovated, the Pub du Vin will add 11-bedrooms, a 22-seat bistro and a function room to the hotel's offerings.
MWB operates 22 hotels in the UK, with six more under development and four under negotiation. The company aims to increase its portfolio by 2010.
