Public consultation into Seaton coastline plans
Hartlepool Borough Council (HBC) is to hold two public consultation sessions on 17 November to gather comments on proposals to protect the coastline of Seaton Carew, County Durham.
Hampshire-based consultants Scott Wilson is working in conjunction with the council to draw up a Seaton Carew Coastal Strategy, which will outline long-term plans to protect the area from rising sea levels and coastal erosion. HBC's principle engineer for environmental issues, Dennis Hancock, said: "We will be explaining the final options open to us for coastal protection and we are very keen to hear people's views on those.
"This will be the last opportunity for people to comment before the Seaton Carew Coastal Strategy is completed next year."
