Pype Hayes Golf Course set to re-open after Mytime development
Mytime Golf has announced that the Pype Hayes Golf Course in Sutton Colfield, West Midlands will reopen at the end of July following a £2m (US$3m, €2.3m) refurbishment of both the course and clubhouse.
Mytime Golf, a division of MyTime Active, last year took on a 50-year contract to run seven golf courses in the Birmingham area.
The clubhouse was destroyed by fire in 2009, but as part of the revamp has been transformed into a new leisure facility for local residents. The new features of the two-storey clubhouse include suites, a café/restaurant, changing rooms and a 60-station gym. The golf course itself has also seen significant improvements made.
A number of Mytime golf sites in the area are currently being reviewed or developed. Once completed the most recent development, Hatchford Brook, will offer a 24-bay floodlit driving range, 100-station gym equipped with Pro Core machinery, spike bar, brand new changing facilities, and a fully equipped Pro Shop.
Other courses set for development are Hilltop, Lickey Hills, Boldmere, Cocks Moors Woods and Harborne Church Farm.
