QHotels invests £40m in portfolio
Leeds-based Quintessential Hotels – which owns six hotels in England – has announced that it has re-branded to QHotels and is to invest almost £40m in a refurbishment programme across its portfolio.
The Queens, a Grade II listed building located on City Square, Leeds, has recently benefited from a £10m makeover.
Styled by the Ransley Interiors team from designers Scott Brownrigg, with lighting by Lutron Electronics, the hotel has been revamped to celebrate the Art Deco period. New furnishings in Queen’s Bar reflect the opulence of the 1920s and the property’s Palm Court restaurant and conference facilities have been extended.
Subject to planning permission, QHotels is also hoping to upgrade its latest acquisition – Forest Pines Golf and Country Club Hotel in North Lincolnshire.
The four-star hotel features a 27-hole golf course and a health, beauty and leisure club within 190 acres of woodland. Details: www.quintessential-hotels.co.uk
