REPs' retention success
During October-December 2007 the Register had an healthy 90 per cent re-registration rate for existing members.
The previous year saw an average of just over 70 per cent, but the trend has been continuing upwards with a clear indication that members are committing to the industry as a career and professional choice.
The number of new members joining the Register has been falling away month after month as expected and as REPs penetrates deeper into the industry.
Over 90 per cent of REPS members expect to be working in the industry in more than three years time – another indicator of changing attitudes. “Keeping a skilled and motivated workforce is the key to the success of the industry” comments Cliff Collins, the Registrar.
