A new 189-bedroom Radisson Blu-branded resort has become the Rezidor Hotel Group's first property to open on the island of Gran Canaria - one of the Spanish Canary Islands.
Each of the guestrooms and suites has its own balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the interior design has been conceived and developed by Norway-based Sias Contract.
Resort facilities include a 265sq m (2,852sq ft) spa offering treatments by Institute Guinot of France. The spa contains six treatment cabins, a Finnish sauna and a steam sauna.
A whirlpool also forms part of the wellness area, as well as a Life Fitness-equipped gym. A range of sports activities and the La Canaria restaurant are among the resort's other facilities.
Cathrine Nordhus of Sias Contract said: "The Scandinavian design coexists with a tribute to light, colours and lifestyle of the Canary Islands."
