Ramsay targets Michelin for Heathrow
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is aiming to create the world’s first Michelin-starred airport restaurant.
Ramsay, who has been awarded a total of 12 Michelin stars in his career, is set to open a new eatery called Plane Food at the new Terminal 5 building at Heathrow airport.
The restaurant is scheduled to launch when the new terminal building opens on 27 March, and will have more than 100 covers.
Ramsay currently owns eight restaurants and two gastro pubs in the UK, operated under the Gordon Ramsay Holdings company.
The chef is also due open a third gastro pub, called The Warrington, in London, as well as restaurants in California, US; Versailles, France; Amsterdam, The Netherlands and the Sentosa Resort in Singapore.
