The shortlist is out for the annual Tio Pepe Carlton London Restaurant Awards – with high profile chefs Gordon Ramsey and Tom Aikens in the running for awards but no mention of Jamie Oliver and his restaurant Fifteen.

Ramsay has two nominations himself: for Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, up for French Restaurant of the Year; and Boxwood Café, at the Berkeley in Knightsbridge, which is up for American Restaurant of the year – however, his company gets a third mention with Menu at the Connaught, for which Angela Hartnett is nominated for Outstanding London Chef.

Tom Aikens has been nominated in the French Restaurant category for the restaurant bearing his name.

Petrûs and The Savoy Grill, both run by Marcus Wareing, have been shortlisted in the Most Exceptional Wine List and British Restaurant of the Year categories.

A new category added this year is London Gastropub, with nominees including The Anchor & Hope, The Havelock Tavern, The House, The Wells and The Rocket.

The winners will be revealed at the awards dinner at the Grosvenor House hotel on 8 March.
