As men’s mental health increasingly comes under the spotlight, industry veteran, Rasmus Ingerslev, has launched Manhug Coaching, a 100-day self-mastery programme targeted at men.

Ingerslev says the course is based on his own life experiences and the work he's done to clean up a traumatic childhood which led him to “chase love, happiness and acceptance in all the wrong places and for the wrong reasons.”

He says that for years he suppressed emotions and numbed himself through work and working out, but although the results looked impressive he didn’t feel happy.

Devastated by divorce, Ingerslev set about doing the inner work and healing his childhood wounds. He is now sharing these lessons and tools in order to save other men from hitting rock bottom before they're inspired to change to become the best version of themselves.

“Twenty five years passed in the blink of an eye and I was surviving more than I was living,” he says.

“The programme teaches how to lead your life with confidence physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, sexually and financially. No quick fixes. This is about strengthening from the inside out in a sustainable way.

“I have found strength in the areas where I was weak. I have never felt more alive, more present, more competent or wiser, or loved and been able to feel love so deeply.

“The more men who do our work the better we can support each other, the better relationships we will build and the better fathers we will become,” he says.

Ingerslev is a serial entrepreneur who has previously been CEO of Fitness DK, Fresh Fitness, Wexer Virtual; chair of Repeat and Barry’s Bootcamp Nordic and has served on the board of the Danish Fitness and Health Organization and IHRSA (now the Health and Fitness Assocation).
