Reading chair denies sale reports
Reports suggesting that Reading Football Club (RFC) is on the verge of being sold to an Arab consortium have been strongly denied by the club's chair Sir John Madejski.
In a statement, Madejski said: "I have never made any secret of the fact that I would sell if somebody with deep pockets was to come along and if it was right for the club. "But let me say for the record that the stories, suggesting we are close to selling, are simply not true."
