Rebrand for ex-franchise
Global Fitness Holdings – based in Kentucky, US – has unveiled a new brand identity, Urban Active.
Global Fitness Holdings was formerly a Gold’s Gym franchisee, holding franchise rights in Tennessee (Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville), Kentucky (Lexington and Louisville) and Ohio (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Akron and Toledo).
It has now reached a mutual agreement with Gold’s Gym International to part ways.
As of 1 December 2007, all 25 formerly franchised locations in the tri-state region will be renamed Urban Active, with a mission “to create active communities through innovative fitness”.
