Recipient of ISPA Foundation scholarship is announced
The first beneficiary of the International Spa Association (ISPA) Foundation’s new scholarship has been announced.
Arizona State University student Michelle Bashore has become the first recipient of the Mary Tabacchi Scholarship. She will receive US$2,500 (1,982 euro, £1,347) as well as a place at the ISPA’s 2008 conference and expo in November in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.
The scholarship is a part of an endowment fund to provide a permanent resource for the growth and sustainability of the spa industry.
It was named in honour of spa industry pioneer and Associate Professor Mary H Tabacchi, who said: “It is my belief that carefully chosen recipients of this scholarship will become leaders in the mind/body/spirit spa community.” Details: experienceispa.com
