Recreation status for Wrexham green spaces
Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) and Fields in Trust (FIT) have confirmed that a further three public open spaces have been recognised as recreational areas.
The sites in Bangor-on-Dee, Crispin Lane (Rhosddu) and Minera are the latest to be recognised under the Owain Glyndwr Fields in Trust initiative, which aims to protect important playing fields. Six other fields across the borough have already been designated as part of the scheme, which aims to ensure the sites are preserved as recreation grounds for future generations.
Richard Gale, committee member for FIT Cymru, said: "These dedications will help to ensure that Wrexham will always have a network of outdoor spaces where children and adults alike can go for healthy physical activity."
