Springboard Charitable Trust, the national charity specialising in advice, guidance and awareness of new hospitality recruits are looking for adventurous and thrill seeking volunteers to take part in a fund raising trek in scenic Peru from the 4-13 April, 2008.

Following on from the success of the March 2007 Sahara Desert Trek, which helped raise over £11,000 in support of the charities work with unemployed, disadvantaged and young people, the organisation is now looking for participants for one of the worlds most stunning trails.

The amazing Macchu Picchu, hailed as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, is one of the most archeologically rich areas in South America displaying spectacular and breathtaking scenery.

With time spent exploring ancient Cusco the capital of the Inca Empire and the Sacred Valley eager trekkers are sure to gain insight into local traditions and uncover a wealth of fascinating history.

Although some training is advisable before undertaking the challenge this charity trek is available to all and Springboard will provide all volunteers with full details and a training plan to assist all participants.

The money raised from this fundraising trek and all other Springboard Charitable Trust fund raising events will be reinvested into programmes and activities designed to facilitate new opportunities within the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism industry.

This trek through the amazing Macchu Picchu will therefore be raising money to support those vital future tourism employees who are making their first steps on the career ladder.

To discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas’s, enjoy Peruvian culture and most importantly support Springboard Charitable Trust and give back to the industry, contact director Marlyn Howitt on Tel: 0141 552 5554 or via [email protected]. Alternatively please visit: www.springboarduk.org.uk/trek
