Reed re-elected as Alliance chair
Andy Reed has been re-elected as the Sport and Recreation Alliance chair for the next two years up until the Alliance's annual general meeting in 2015.
Reed, who was awarded an OBE in 2012 for services to sport and the community, said: "The Alliance has made great strides in the past two years - introducing constitutional reforms, leading the sector into exciting new policy areas and providing more valuable services to our members.
"As we embark on what is undoubtedly a golden era for British sport I hope too that this will be reflected in our work going forward. "
The annual general meeting also saw Paul Thorogood and Lyn West begin three-year terms as elected members of the Alliance board while Howard Wells OBE begins a three-year term as an appointed director
The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation in the UK, representing organizations including The FA, the Rugby Football Union, British Athletics, the Ramblers and British Rowing.
