Reformulated seed for cricket pitches
Limagrain UK has incorporated ryegrass cultivars Venice and Malibu into its newly reformulated MM50 seed mixture, intended especially for cricket squares.
Venice is said to score highly for shoot density, and fineness of leaf, while Malibu comes with a level of disease resistance as well as being hard wearing.
A 100 per cent ryegrass blend, the seed in MM sports mixtures is also treated with Headstart to enable a lower germination time.
