Remains of Wonder of the World found
After the discovery of detailed fragments, the legendary lighthouse of Alexandria could be rebuilt, according to archaeologists.
New research carried out in the Mediterranean Sea, where Pharos, the 450ft lighthouse collapsed in the 14th century, has provided an insight into the design of the building, and has supplemented limited existing knowledge.
Although building is several years away, the find represents a major step towards reconstructing one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
