Restaurant Association announces date for Challenge Cup Golf Competition
The Restaurant Association’s annual Challenge Cup golf competition will again be held at Branston Golf and Country Club on Monday 31 July 2006, it has been announced.
As one of the key events in the Restaurant Association’s social calendar, the Challenge Cup traditionally pits two teams from the north and the south of the UK against one another in a Ryder Cup-style competition.
This year the south will seek to reclaim the cup from current holders, the north.
With a limited number of ‘tee-off’ times, applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Guests & non-playing members are also welcome to attend and use the club’s leisure facilities for free (usually charged at £15 per person).
Accommodation will be provided for members wishing to stay on the Sunday prior to the golf day at the Brookhouse Hotel. Guests who stay on the Sunday are also invited to a pre-match party with all food and drinks plus entertainment, and travel by coach from the hotel.
