Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust (NWT) has announced that Besthorpe Nature Reserve has closed for around three months to enable a restoration scheme to take place.
Around £350,000 is being invested in transforming large parts of the reserve, which is to benefit from the creation of new reed bed and wet grassland. NWT communications manager Erin McDaid said: "we hope to keep the disruption to a minimum but we will need to close the Reserve to the public to ensure public safety."
