Blantyre Leisure Centre in South Lanarkshire has undergone a £170,000 refurbishment.

The revamp includes a new reception area, improved lighting and air conditioning as well as new carpeting throughout.

New gym equipment was also introduced, with CV and strength kit supplied by Life Fitness and group cycling bikes supplied by LeMond Rev Master.

Councillor Gerry Convery, chair of South Lanarkshire Leisure, which operates the facility, said: “This is money well spent if it helps our customers to improve their lifestyle and get fit and healthy.”
