The Rezidor Hotel Group (RHG) has announced plans to open new Park Inn properties in Lagos, Nigeria, and Novosibirsk, Russia, by the first quarter of 2014.

Construction work is already underway on the Park Inn Lagos, Apapa hotel, which will offer 125 bedrooms; an outdoor swimming pool; and a fitness centre. The Lagos property will also feature an all-day dining restaurant; a sports bar; and 330sq m (3,552sq ft) of meeting space. It is earmarked to open in the first quarter of 2013.

Meanwhile, Park Inn Novosibirsk will boast 150 bedrooms and will offer an all-day dining restaurant; a gym; a lobby bar; and five meeting rooms. It will open in Q1 2014. Both properties form part of RHG's expansion plans for Park Inn, with 10-20 sites planned for Russia. Nigeria has also been identified as a key African market for the company.
