'Right model' to decide LFC stadium plans
Liverpool Football Club's (LFC) plans for a new stadium or a refurbishment of its Anfield venue will depend on the "right financial model", according to managing director Ian Ayre.
Ayre said that the club's future development proposals would not be dependent on whether it qualified for the Champions League or not. "We are very fortunate that Champions League or no Champions League, we fill our stadium. That's what will dictate our ability to build a new stadium or refurbish Anfield," he said.
