Florida, US-based Ripley Entertainment will open its newest attraction later this year at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

The resort, called Great Wolf Lodge, will feature an 103,000sq ft (9,600sq m) indoor water-park and a 406-room hotel.

The water park will include 13 slides, four activity and play pools, three family whirlpools, a giant wave pool, a lazy river and a four-storey interactive water-fort playground.

Bob Masterson, president of Ripleys, said: “Opening Great Wolf Lodge is a major step for us into both the hotel and waterpark business.

“We expect the new opening to result in a 10 per cent increase in overall visitor numbers for 2006.” Details: www.ripleys.com
