Robinson appointed chair of Wagamama
Leisure industry veteran Martin Robinson has been appointed the new chair of restaurant chain Wagamama.
The announcement follows the takeover of Wagamama by Duke Sreet Capital last week (click here to see story). Robinson replaces the outgoing chair Ian Neill.
Robinson has spent the majority of his career in the leisure sector. After leaving his role as commercial director at Scottish and Newcastle, he had a number of roles at Centre Parcs, culminating in his appointment as chair in 1999.
Currently the chair of Centre Parcs UK and a non-executive director of Euro Disney UK, Robinson has also chaired the Holmes Place health club chain and until recently was the senior independent director at Regus.
