Rocco Forte opens German hotel spa
The Rocco Forte group has unveiled its latest property, the Hotel de Rome, in Berlin, Germany.
The hotel and spa are located near the Brandenburg gate and housed in a converted building that used to be the head office of the Dresdner Bank.
Many of the bank’s architectural features have been faithfully restored.
The Spa de Rome is located in the bank’s old vaults, while the old jewel vault now boasts a 20m (65ft) swimming pool with tiles that reflect the light, intended to be similar to the sparkle of gemstones.
The spa has six treatment rooms offering body treatments, organic facials, tropical or classic massages and ayurvedic beauty care. Example treatments will include the Chocolate and Cherries Jubilee Facial, the Tropical Hawaiian Essence Massage and the Carrot Vitamin Wrap.
Organic products from the Eminence product line will be used – the brand is exclusive to Rocco Forte Hotels in Germany.
Other spa facilities include a Finnish sauna, an aroma steamroom, a gym and a relaxation area. Details: www.roccofortehotels.com
