Rosewood Pueblo, Mexico, to open in 2016 near world's largest pyramid
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is set to manage Rosewood Puebla in Mexico when it opens in 2016 near the city’s main square – the Zocalo – in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site comprises more than 2,600 historic locations, more than 365 churches and is located close to two of Mexico’s most significant archaeological sites: Cantona and Cholula – which is the location of the world’s largest pyramid.
Owned by Plus Arrendamientos Inmobiliarios, the hotel is being designed by DAS Concepts and will be the fourth Rosewood-managed property in Mexico. The hotel will be housed in a collection of buildings from different eras with 79 guestrooms, a courtyard restaurant, a rooftop bar and swimming pool, as well as a 300-year-old chapel and a spa.
The property’s Sense Spa will offer four treatment rooms.
Wherever possible, traditional materials and methods of construction will be incorporated into the buildings and throughout the property there will be numerous furnishings and pieces of art from Mexican artists, in addition to Talavera pottery.
