Royal Albert Docks shortlist announced
Newham Council has confirmed that eight developers have been shortlisted to come up with proposals for the redevelopment of the Royal Albert Docks site in east London.
Dauphin Holdings Group; Muse Developments; Salmon Harvester Properties; Wrenbridge Land; and St Modwen Properties are in the running to develop the 35-acre (14-hectare) site.
Micro World Developments; Canary Wharf; and Sinowest Construction Group also feature on the shortlist, with the council looking to name a preferred developer by September 2012.
The eight firms will now be tasked with drawing up outline plans that comply with Newham Council and the London Development Agency's vision for the area.
Newham mayor Sir Robin Wales said: "The Royal Docks have a rich industrial history and I am absolutely determined to capture that spirit and use it create something very special."
