As at 30 June, S&N held 75.2 per cent of Bulmers ordinary shares, 87.7 per cent of its First Preference shares and 94.5 per cent of its Second Preference shares and on the same date received clearance from the European Competition Commission for the acquisition to go ahead.
A request will be made to the UK Listing Authority to cancel Bulmers listing on the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for the cancellation of trading of Bulmers shares, both anticipated to take effect from 28 July. Details: www.scottish-newcastle.com
