SACDC to mull leisure 'dissatisfaction' study
St Albans City and District Council (SACDC) is to consider the results of a study into residents' low level of satisfaction with local leisure facilities.
The council's 2008 Place Survey found that only 43 per cent of respondents admitted to being 'satisfied' with sport and leisure centres across the district. SACDC consulted with three focus groups comprising 26 local residents recruited from its community panel in wards that had the lowest level of satisfaction.
The findings are to be considered by the overview and scrutiny (public services) committee on 26 October, which will propose a number of recommendations for improving services. Committee chair Julian Daly said: "We asked for focus groups to find out why there are such low satisfaction levels for sport and leisure facilities in the district.
"I am looking forward to seeing the results of the research and the suggestions that come from it."
