SHOKK launches nutrition workshop
Youth fitness brand SHOKK has launched a new interactive nutrition workshop to help parents and children learn how to follow a healthy, balanced diet.
The workshop, launched recently at Moorhead Sports College, Accrington, aims to offer families advice on balanced diets, food labeling and food groups.
Ben Layzell, PE subject leader at Moorhead Sports College, said: “Many parents are keen to help their children follow a healthy, balanced diet but lack the knowledge to explain basic principles.
“Embracing a new healthy eating plan as a family works really well. It means everybody in the family understands the benefits and can offer support and encouragement to each other. It’s not about parents preaching to their children, it’s about learning together and helping each other work towards a healthier lifestyle.”
