SMG wins 2002 Games contract
Manchester City Council has awarded the contract for management of the major Commonwealth Games 2002 venues to SMG Europe.
SMG will manage SportCity, the £120m sports complex which includes the City of Manchester Stadium and the Manchester Tennis Centre.
SMG's other contracts include the Manchester Evening News Arena, the London and Oberhausen Arenas, the Oslo Spektrum, and the new Odyssey Arena in Belfast.
