STF appoints new chief executive
The Scottish Tourism Forum (STF) has appointed the former operations director of Hadrian’s Wall Heritage, Iain Herbert, as its new chief executive.
Turner, who has also worked for the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre, National Museums Scotland and the Royal Yacht Britannia, will succeed Alan Rankin later this summer, although a date has not yet been set.
Peter Taylor, chair of STF said: “This is an exciting time for tourism and the Scottish Tourism Forum’s work highlights the importance of the industry to the Scottish economy.
“STF is the voice of the tourism industry in Scotland and we look forward to Iain joining the organisation and helping us to ensure that voice is heard.”
Herbert added: “I’m looking forward to the exciting new challenges ahead, providing a real voice for the industry in Scotland through a professional and engaged approach focused on delivery for all current and future STF members.”
