SUFC appoints new chief executive
Trevor Birch, chief operating officer of European sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE, has been named the new chief executive of Sheffield United Football Club (SUFC).
Birch, who is due to take up the position on 1 December and will take over a number of day-to-day responsibilities from chair Kevin McCabe, formerly helped Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich in the £140m acquisition of Chelsea Football Club in 2003.
