Scandic Hotel Fornebu to open in 2012
Sweden-based hotel operator Scandic Hotels has announced an opening date for its new spa hotel being built near the Norwegian capital Oslo.
The 336-bedroom Scandic Hotel Fornebu, designed by architects Narud Stokke Wiig, will open in January 2012 and will boast a luxury spa, a restaurant and conferencing space for 1,000 people.
Deceloped Peab AB has been appointed to build the hotel, which will cost around NOK300m (US$52, 38m euro, £33m) to complete.
