Scarborough proposals go on display
Plans for the future of the Mere and Oliver's Mount area in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, have been put on public display by the local authority.
Scarborough Borough Council (SBC) has identified a number of proposals as part of a masterplan for the long-term redevelopment of the site. The plans include a mix of natural space incorporating woodland meadows, walks, cycle trails, a visitor centre and water sports, while areas have been earmarked for possible commercial developments, such as a hotel and an extreme sports centre.
A report to SBC's cabinet is now set to be compiled outlining steps to progress the scheme, as well as to seek permission to start work needed to secure funding for the scheme.
