An immersive jungle-themed experience including an escape from a T-Rex is among the activities planned for toy maker Schleich's installations at the upcoming Toys "R" Us Adventure indoor "playlands" in Chicago and Atlanta.

As one of three featured partners to the Toys "R" Us Adventure concept, due to open in November, Schleich will have its own experiential installations, giving kids the chance to explore the Schleich jungle, have the aforementioned encounter with the T-Rex, and take an imaginative ride in a Jungle Explorer vehicle. The other featured toy partners at the attractions are Paw Patrol and Melissa & Doug.

The announcement from Schleich is one of several new brand extensions and experiences for the company in the US, including four pop-up holiday-themed retail installations in US shopping malls, and the opening of an immersive retail environment at the FAO Schwarz flagship store in New York.

At the FAO Schwarz store, guests can explore an assortment of Schleich products, examine a Schleich tiger up close, and interact with a mixed-reality rock wall that brings the company's Eldrador Creatures franchise to life. Schleich said this experience is "indicative" of 20 other flagship retail installations it has completed in the US this year.

Through the new pop-up experiences, shoppers in Nashville, Tennessee, Garden City, NY, Frisco, Texas, and Concord, North Carolina, will be able to dive deeply into the variety of toys the company manufactures, including T-Rexes, lions, tigers and unicorns.

"The real gift of our highly-realistic toy figurines and playsets is how they cause children to become lost in the expansiveness of imaginative play," said Annie Laurie Zomermaand, Schleich USA's chief commercial officer.

"These new experiential retail initiatives and our new e-commerce platform help mimic that sense of wonder and magic in the retail environment and bring the Schleich brand to life for customers."
