Science Centre network creates new club
A network of Scottish science centres – including the Glasgow Science Centre, Our Dynamic Earth, Stratosphere in Aberdeen and Sensation Dundee – is to launch its first collaborative initiative intended to inspire young scientists of the future.
Called The Atoms Club, the project will promote awareness of an online resource – www.atomsclub.co.uk – which includes activities to entertain young scientists such as cartoon strips, competitions, home experiments and interactive online games.
Initial promotional material will include 100,000 postcards and 50,000 Atoms ‘tattoos’ and will be given to children visiting the four science centres this month.
