Scotland's first basketball school to launch
Scotland's first ever School of Basketball will be launched at the Ardrossan Academy in North Ayrshire.
The centre will form a key part of Basketball Scotland's plans to develop the sport and increase participation numbers.
Kevin Pringle, CEO of Basketball Scotland, said: "This is a pilot project which we expect to provide us with the evidence which will allow us to develop partnerships to deliver schools of basketball throughout Scotland over the coming years."
The initiative has been part-funded by money seized from convicted criminals through the CashBack for Communities scheme.
