Scottish Mining Museum appoints director
Rowan Brown has taken up the role of director of the Scottish Mining Museum.
She spent the past four years as senior curator in Technology at National Museums Scotland (NMS).
Brown is also a member of the Museums Association, Scottish Rail Preservation Society, International Committee for the Conservation of Industrial Heritage, and is President of the Scottish Museums Federation.
She said: "I have long been a passionate enthusiast of Scotland's industrial heritage and have worked closely with the staff and collections over the last four years in my capacity as Collections Trustee.
