Scottish arts group 'ceases trading'
The Dumfries and Galloway region's independent arts organisation, dgArts, has announced that it has "ceased trading" due to ongoing financial difficulties.
In a statement, dgArts directors confirmed that "all trading activities" of the group were due to cease effective from 30 September, with winding up proceedings now set to commence.
Patricia J Smith on behalf of the directors said: "The directors have decided to cease all trading activities of dgArts from 30th September 2011, due to the company's financial position.
"They are taking advice and are in the process of commencing the procedure to wind up the company."
