Second large theme park planned for Warsaw
A new company called Global Parks Poland has been set up to develop a large theme park in the Polish capital Warsaw.
The company, lead by entrepreneur Moshe Greidinger, has unveiled plans to build a PLN2.2bn (US$625m, €481m, £404m) mega resort within the city's Mszczonów area.
The proposals were revealed just months after Luxembourg-based consortium Las Palm announced it too was going to launch a large theme park in Warsaw by 2014.
Speaking to the media, Greidinger - who is also CEO of cinema operator Cinema City - said that he expects the park to attract more than 4 million people each year, which would make it the largest park in Eastern Europe.
Exact plans are to be confirmed but plans revealed by Greidinger include large themed areas with roller coasters and rides, a hotel and a recreation zone.
