Nautilus has introduced the SelectTech system, claimed to be the ultimate dumbbell set for personal trainers.

Specially developed for mobile, office or home use, the system is fully adjustable and can provide 15 different pairs of dumbbells in one set. A dial is twisted to select the weight required - from 2kg to 21kg - and the weight is then just lifted out of the base.

Ideal for anyone just beginning a strength programme, SelectTech allows small weight increments of 1kg through to 10kg and from 2kg up to 21kg. It also has an offset weight option, useful as a muscle development tool or to support rehabilitation from a sports injury.

For optimum safety, a special locking mechanism ensures that each user changes the weight securely because it only works when the handle is fully inserted into the base.

Each weight is encased in injection-moulded plastic, which both protects them from rust no matter how sweaty a workout gets and stops them scratching floors and surfaces.

The dumbbells measure 40 x 20.5 x 23cm in size and a stand is available as an option.
