Sensationalising the economic crisis
The mainstream media’s coverage of the ‘world economic crisis’ has been sensational to say the least.
There are undoubtedly serious issues, however, I believe the Australian economy is fairing better than expected thanks to a strong banking system in Australia. I for one am disappointed at the paranoia created by negative press over recent times. The entertainment industry is a marvellous outlet for citizens to have fun and live in fantasy for a short time. So AALARA’s theme for this year’s conference is Building your Business and is aimed at helping business owners and operators offset the media gloom and help build your business at the Conference and Trade show.
Manufacturers and service suppliers from overseas and locally who will be presenting products to assist you in your business. Our conference program is very exciting, with the Vice Chair of IAAPA as one of our industry key note speakers, along with inspiring educational business sessions and industry breakout forums which will encourage you to go home and further build your business.
Fun has not been forgotten, with welcome networking drinks, a fun night at Movie World’s Spooky Castle and a ride on a 60m Observation wheel as well as networking drinks and external site tours to theme parks on the final day. You should have received a copy of the conference brochure in the mail in recent weeks, so I encourage you to register as a delegate and join in the fun and network with other industry business all with similar objectives.
If you would like to receive a PDF copy via email please contact the AALARA office via e: [email protected] I look forward to seeing old and new faces at the 2009 trade exhibition and conference.
