Serve Health & Beauty opens three spas in Holmes Place

Spa operator Serve Health & Beauty has opened three more facilities within Holmes Place health clubs, following Academy Spa Group's decision to downsize its portfolio within the health club group.

Serve, which brands its facilities re-aqua, opened its first Holmes Place spa in Didsbury last November, clsoely followed by Epsom and Sunbury. Last month, it took over three Holmes Place spas previously operated by Academy Spa, in Kensington, Notting Hill and Canary Wharf, London.

According to chairman Suki Kalirai, a typical re-aqua spa includes four to six treatment rooms, offering treatments from acupuncture to waxing, which are either integrated into the club's reception or have their own reception area. Serve supplies a turnkey package including qualified therapists, specialist equipment and products from suppliers such as Clarins, Darphin, Decléor and Guniot. Re-aqua branding is visible in point-of-sale material, price lists, posters and other promotional material.

According to Kalirai: 'This is not a fixed rental agreement and it's not a franchise, but a genuine partnership to get both sides are involved in a profitable enterprise.'

Serve Health & Beauty, which was founded three years ago by Kalirai and three business partners, operates a total of 24 re-aqua beauty salons and spas including those in Holmes Place. Details: +44 (0)1428 601800 or www.servehb.com
