The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) is to hold its Asia Pacific Division conference in Shanghai, China this year, with the dates 14 to 16 June set aside for the event.

SATE Asia will take place at the Shendi Center in Shanghai, China, and organisers say the conference will have a theme of "Moving People". After arrivals on 14 June, the keynote address will take place on Saturday 15 June. The event will end with a Chinese dinner on the evening of 16 June.

The announcement from the TEA states: "Be it physical, emotional, or technological, this year's theme of 'Moving People' covers a broad spectrum of how we take people in journeys within the themed entertainment industry."

It said that SATE Asia will "use Storytelling + Architecture + Technology = Experience to explore how these elements are changing and influencing visitor attractions".

The TEA has issued a call for presentations that tie in with the "Moving People" theme, and is selling early bird tickets to the event.
