Hong Kong-based hotel group, Shangri-La, will open its second hotel in Dubai next month.

The 250-room Traders Hotel, close to the Deira business district, will be primarily aimed at business travellers and will have broadband internet access in every room. It will also provide a free shuttle service from the international airport.

The four-star facilities will include fitness amenities, an indoor pool and 67 Traders club suites.

Currently in the middle of an expansion programme, Shangri-La has unveiled further plans to open two more properties in China.

The first, a 420-room property in Suzhou, will open in the summer of 2005, followed by the company’s first venture into Guangzhou two years later.

The 750-room hotel, next to the Hai Zhu district, will open in time for the 2007 summer. Details: www.shangri-la.com
