Sheraton Hotel debuts in Jinan, China
Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide has announced that it will open its first Sheraton hotel in Jinan, the Shandong Province in China, on 31 October.
The 445-room hotel will have four restaurant/bars, a health club with an indoor swimming pool and spa, a gift shop and 13 meeting rooms and business centre. The hotel is part of a mixed-use complex including retail units and office buildings within the East New Town, Lixia District; the site of the 11th National Games of the People's Republic of China. There are already Sheraton Hotels, owned by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, in Beijing and Huadu, China. The firm owns 400 hotels in more than 75 countries and plans to push its aggressive expansion plans of adding another 54 hotels by the end of 2009.
Starwood's other hotel brands include the Meriden, Westin, St Regis, W Hotels and The Luxury Collection.
