Sicily's third Hilton opens its doors
Hilton Worldwide has opened the Hilton Giardini Naxos in Sicily, the third property on the Italian island to open under the Hilton Hotels brand.
Formally known as The Russott Hotel, the property has been converted to a Hilton and operates as part of a franchise agreement with Russott Finance Spa.
Occupying a prime beachfront location, Hilton Giardini Naxos enjoys panoramic views across the Ionian Sea and boasts its own private beach. The newly renovated hotel offers 296 bedrooms including 28 suites.
The hotel boasts two restaurants - the La Sciara Wine Bar & Restaurant which serves traditional Sicilian cuisine, and the Panarea Restaurant which offers both indoor and outdoor dining.
The hotel's facilities also include a spa designed and equipped by German company Klafs, a Hilton Fitness by Precor fitness centre and a swimming pool.
For business guests, the property houses 11 rooms with a total hotel events capacity of up to 1,350 delegates.
Sebastiano Russotti, president and CEO of Russott Finance Spa, owner of the Hilton Giardini Naxos, said: "The property is now a completely refurbished hotel, which we anticipate will bring significant growth in eastern Sicily, in particular the areas of Naxos and Taormina.
"We have appreciated the support and professionalism of the Hilton Worldwide team and look forward to continuing this relationship with the same enthusiasm in the future."
